The artist presented a series of sculptures using flexible metals like aluminum. The series, titled <Pliages>, which means 'to fold' in French, features forms where planes and curved surfaces intersect, evoking the notion of 'folding.' This approach creates a piece that is highly organic, while still maintaining geometric essence, guiding viewers to explore both the interior and exterior of the work.
The sculptures are created using two main elements: the construction of a 'basic form' such as a rectangle or cylinder, and the introduction of 'cuts' to this basic form. These 'cuts' could be the final stage in shaping the final form, or they could serve as a preliminary process for 'folding' or as a disassembly step for 'reassembly.' The artist first constructs a cardboard model, a few dozen centimeters high, before creating the final sculpture in metal, which stands several meters tall.
