Permanent Exhibition

상설전은 컬렉션 미술관인 구하우스의 소장품으로 이루어진 전시로, ‘집 같은 미술관’을 컨셉으로 미술과 디자인 작품들을 편안하게 감상할 수 있습니다. 세계적인 작가의 회화, 조각, 사진, 설치, 영상 등 다양한 장르의 컨템포러리 작품과 더불어 가구와 조명, 거울 등 디자인 작품들이 일상 생활 공간 같은 전시장에서 어우러져 펼쳐집니다.

김용경, Cling to a circle, 2018, 30 × 30 × 50 cm, Resin

투명한 물체에 갇힌 공간은 형태에 따라 독특한 공간감을 갖게 된다. 이때, 오브제안에 갇힌 공간들은 물리적으로는 갖기 힘든 시각, 마음, 감정과 같은 개념들이 은유적으로 표현된 결과물로 마음속의 공간과 공간이 머무르는 시간의 존재에 대한 성찰을 보여준다.

공기를 한껏 머금고 부풀어 올라 터지기 직전인 듯한 찰나의 순간을 포착한 듯한 형태와 두려움과 불안, 체념이 녹아 있는 듯한 표정이 유머러스 하게 표현되어 있다.

The space trapped within a transparent object gains a unique sense of spatiality depending on its form. In this context, the spaces confined within the object metaphorically express concepts such as vision, mind, and emotions, which are difficult to possess physically. This reflection on the space within the heart and the existence of time spent in that space is evident.

The shapes, capturing the moment just before they seem to burst from being filled with air, and the expressions that convey fear, anxiety, and resignation, are humorously depicted.


김용경 Yong Kyong Kim (1971~, 한국/Korea)


김용경 작가는 유리같은 느낌을 가진 resin을 주재료로 사용해, 투명함을 드러내고 형태안의 공간의 울림을 시각적으로 표현한다.


Yong-kyong Kim primarily uses resin, which has a glass-like quality, as her main material. She reveals transparency and visually expresses the resonance of space within forms.
